Cradle storage

I'm presently looking to buy a fin keel sailing cruiser and have found that some of them come with a steel cradle included. Do boat yards normally allow a cradle to be kept ashore at their yard while the yacht is afloat or do they have to be stored somewhere else? If it has to be stored somewhere else how do others tranport them to and from the boat yard as the one I'm thinking of is approx 3 x 6 metres even when the legs are folded down and so I don't think it will fit into an average van.

Free cradle storage at Pwllheli Marina for berth-holders, but almost certainly not free in the rip-off south coast. They jiggle them around during the year so every Autumn it's play the 'hunt the cradle' game.

Not sure what it is like in the U.K. but here in the land of Oz crane trucks are cheap to hire if there is no rush. It might be cheaper to stick your cradle in land a bit.
