Weather perfect over weekend for MRC.
Most impressive was one of the Switzer Tugs who came up from Sheerness to give a demo of their fire fighting gear.

We also were honoured by the presence of a Thames boater for the weekend.
Seen here going ashore to enjoy the dubious delights of Chatham.

Great weekend Fred and what stinking weather !!! Nice trip out to see the seals that were'nt there this morning but what a bonus to see another CLB just like mine daring to brave the estuary!
I got some good pics of the fire-boat, too …….

If you mean a 27, that was me, back to Suffolk after a weekend at Chatham for the excellent River Festival and the Gillingham Marina Boat & Chandlery Fair.

Incidentally, while in Chatham Marina we noticed an old-style wooden motor cruiser named 'FLOXY' or something similar; if the owner reads this or if anyone knows him, his red and green nav lights are on the wrong side, ie red on the starboard side and green on the port.

Foxy was and I believe still is owned by the brother of Robin Knox Johnson. Next time I am in the marina I will check his nav lights and advise accordingly.

"Yes, I do mean another 27 so I guess this must have been you ?"

Yes, that's me; great photograph, thank you. The fenders were up and I wasn't picking my nose!

On the nav lights, we also told the marina staff, so there might be an embarrassed boatowner rushing down there as we speak, especially if he is the person mentioned above,. I think the boat name is correct but it was in a fancy script; the boat was a smallish 'classic' wooden cabin cruiser.

GravyGraham passes by.

Hope its OK to post this...... Lisa Lou a refuge from the outer darkness of Ramsgate going past us at MRF.
Note the nice clean forum burgee on the starboard stern quarter*

One aims to please.

BTW, I think our wash affected some peeps at Rochester, well, I presume that's why someone got shouty with me. It appears the 6kt limit could be too much for our boat at certain times of the tide. Apologies to Mr Shoutyman (and others?) - consider my behaviour adjusted.

Not heard anyone shouting at anyone on the tidal medway yet for people going to fast, and some are tramping on!
Maybe they knew you or recognised the boat?

My thoughts actaully, all the Dunkirk Veterans were round the corner with me so it could not have been them.!
Not sure if anybody else was moored at pier during day as it was closed and for their use only.
