cracked volvo gearbox

after leaving my engine for the winter i returned to a crack in the gearbox the cooling water is pouring out luckily the boat is not in the water the engine is a volvo md1 it is just above the drain plug can this be welded or where can i get a good secondhand gearbox how much will it cost

you will need at least a reduction gear housing or used box as theere is a bearing in the housing
