Cracked sump on Volvo 72 anybody else

Have discovered the oil leak is a cracked sump, not from the crankcase breather, has anybody else had this before. Bought the boat Nov and then winterised it first run out and oil everywhere. If its a casting defect do I have any redress on Volvo etc
