Hi
I have had an old bonwitco 400c for the past 3 years but have noticed a large crack running along the inside edge of the transom. I am wondering if this is a sign I might loose the transom soon and if it's worth trying to fix it? When I purchased it had a Johnson 35 and Suzuki 5hp as an auxiliary and having looked online I am wondering whether the auxiliary has been mounted incorrectly resulting in excessive strain across the stern. Any advice on what to do about it would be greatly appreciated!

Best advice I can give is visit www.WorldSeaFishing.com forum. Rotten transoms and their repair is a common staple. Is it worth fixing very much depends on your skills. To get someone else to do it is not financially viable
