Crableck Prices going up!

I keep my Moody 31 on the Hamble at Crableck on a river mooring. I've just heard that we're to be incorporated into the marina and will, I assume, be paying marina prices next year.

I've been paying around 2k until now. Is there anywhere on the Hamble left that is still affordable?

How close does the ferry dock to the marina? Is it walking distance with two young kids?

We have also looked into Cheb. from memory it was going to be about 1200 for the year (38 footer). Ferry terminal about a 15 - 20 min walk from marina. Most of the french marina are cheap as they are run by the local authority and not privatly owned like the UK
