Has anybody got a record of the 1960s era racing Cox & Haswell Rapier 3100s? I want to find out if my boat Miss Dignity has a pedigree. She was built, I think, in 1966 at Christchurch and has twin Perkins 6.534 turbo diesels.

You might also like to try the motor boat museum in Basildon, I suspect you would have to go there and spend some time in their archives.

You should ask this question in the motorboat forum too.

With a name like Miss Dignity she might well have raced.

Miss Dignity was built by Christchurch Yacht in 1966. She was the very first Rapier 31 built by the yard. It was the third Rapier 31 built (Pegasus 128) that was raced very successfully in 1967.
We owned Pegasus for many happy years in Christchurch, and knew many of the owners of Miss Dignity. She was owned for many years in the 1970's by the Engineering Director of B.Leyland.
I have known Miss Dignity since our first days of boating in the early 1970's until she left Christchurch about 8 years ago. If you want any further information post a message to me.
Lovely classic boats.
