Hi guys, I will be supporting the races during this week and have a couple of places for crew observers. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, if anybody who is fit, has good eyesight and preferably non smoking and have no nerves whatsover, and would care to join us on a 30ft sport cruiser for any of the days, could get to Cowes by 09-30 on the day, please pm me tonight, preferably in the next hour. I will be leaving early Wed so it has to be sorted tonight.

From my experience of the Guernsey powerboat weeks it is not exactly a 'fun' outing - with divers and medics on board your job is there to be vigilant at all times and to be very conscious of safety, both of the racing crews and the spectator boats. It can be very stressful, with people's lives at risk, as happened fairly near me when I was guard-boating. The organisers will have trained their response teams to get people out of emergency situations as fast as possible so as well as enjoying the racing you will need to concentrate, and maybe leave the 'fun' until after the race.
