Cowes tomorrow

We're planning to sail from Chichester to Cowes tomorrow, hoping to head down to the Folly tomorrow evening. Anyone know if we're likely to find it hard to find somewhere to moor, given that it's the last day of Cowes week?

It Cowes WEEK and everywere will be FULL. Racing continues untill SUNDAY then most boats go home

I was hoping that at least a reasonable number of racing-types would have gone home by Saturday night.

You should be fine up at the folly. A good number of the competitors don't race on the second Saturday and those that do often go directly home after crossing the line.

Some few do but MOST leave Sunday - There are is even racing on Sunday but not as Cowes week. CCYC and Island have some starts.

You may be lucky and find a spot in the middle of something....

You should get in at the Folly. If not, drop your hook for a couple of hours upstream of the Folly and then take the tide up to Newport - plenty of room there.

Or try Island Harbour. There's usually room there, even during Cowes Week.

As you probably now know the Folly pontoons were very quiet on Saturday night, this in my experience of many years is normal during Cowes week, its just too far from the action for most of the racers.
We were in a raft of two, some boats weren't rafted at all
