The Lifeboat in East Cowes is a crew favourite, as is the Island Sailing Club...

The Coast is a favourite. Smoking Lobster very good, a reasonably up market Asian influenced food. The Union is a nice cosy 'locals' pub. The Anchor and Pier View are yachtsman's favourites. All will probably need booking for New Year. Lots of choice in Cowes these days.
The Lifeboat is in East Cowes so quite a trek across the floating bridge if you are staying in West Cowes and in my view not worth the bother - it is a typical chain pub.

many thanks to you both for responding. Coast was great. Agree lifeboat is a bit chain but great location/views of the medina and east cowes marina/boats. literally 5 mins from the ferry terminal from Soton. Didn't eat there but Union Inn in west cowes is a really nice pub for a beer or 2.

Another vote for Coast, it's the only place we eat in Cowes. Moored at Cowes Yacht Haven for lunch yesterday.

Tested the radar with a cable vis in fog that rolled in after 4pm.

The Coast Bar & Dining Room
