I understand its out of action for maintenance, can anyone confirm please? It was out a few days ago to fix a leak but then they had a launch to replace it. Is there An alternative in place for this weekend?

There is a replacement for foot passengers but not for vehicle traffic,

Not sure if the takes bikes, I won't be there today so can't check, they may take bikes as lot of people use the ferry for work and school etc.

Janes Buoy will be in the Solent this weekend with a bunch of idiots (thats friends and me) probably trying to fly a spinnaker for the first time. If you see me keep clear as I doubt we will be in control!!

If we all drink enough on the Saturday night Sunday sailing may be more sedate!

they say on the radio that the replacement does take bikes.... they seem to mention it every few hours on Wave 105....

Roger! The plan at the moment is Cowes and that's as far as the planning has got. We aim to be at the boat late Friday night after a party, so not sure what time we'll emerge from our pit. Helen is doing a RTI walk in a few weeks and wants to check up on a few things in East Cowes while we're there. You have my number, just call me on Saturday Morning. I can sense a photo oppurtunity

Edit... I have a spinnaker that needs trying out too.
