Ok - so who is intending to view the Cowes fireworks from the water this year?

We've been the last couple of years and it is an excellent evening ... even if it is a bit of a hike from Chi harbour at 6 knots!!

I will be there - look out for a 42 foot ketch with an orange dayglow sail bag on deck! Do you know the time it all kicks off? I meant to check but forgot! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
We are coming from Haslar Marina.

Steve

I normally enjoy the Cowes fireworks - truly magnificent display

This Friday itinerary is Southampton to Glasgow by plane, Glasgow to Oban by train, Oban to Mull by ferry then a bus across Mull to catch the ferry to Iona arriving about the time the fireworks kick off. Looking forward to it

I'll watch it from the Folly (yes I know its 2 miles away, but you can still see most of it), and then spend the next hour fending the boat off from the pontoon as all the idiots in ribs break the speed limit up the river. Talking of which, a rather famous yachtsman got stopped in a ZapCat the other day by the Folly launch, cos he was doing about 40 knots up the river. Discretion prevents me spilling the beans.
