A heads-up for British residents in Portugal.
Today, was the first day of Phase 2 (65 to 80 year olds) to get a jab.
Yes, it is Sunday‼
We were the very first on the list so have had our 1st AstraZeneca vaccination at the Lagos Centro de Saude and issued with an interim passport with the date time of our 2nd jab. Clearly Portugal are employing the 12 weeks programme, between jabs, pioneered by the UK NHS.
I was telephoned on our Portuguese phone yesterday morning and invited to be at the Centro de Saude at 1000. When asked, they agreed that my wife who is slightly younger could be done at the same time. If you don’t ask, you don’t get.?
All very efficient, we were jabbed on time but had to wait 30 minutes to see if there were any serious side-effects before being allowed to leave at 1030.
Thank you Portugal?
