Courier to Essex

Looking at options for getting a 6 man valise liferaft to Essex from Oxford area for servicing. Can anyone recommend a good value courier?

I sent an outboard via parcels.net or some such. there are people who "bulk buy" a contract from Parcel Force and sell it on. The o/b cost about £10, although it was only a 6 hp...

Compressed gas (CO2 cylinder) seems to be a problem. See here (parcelforce and parcel 2 ship).

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but as Alan suggests, it looks as if the pressurised CO2 cylinder might be problematical. If the delivery costs are going to be high, I might need to reconsider where to have the service done. I don't fancy driving there myself! Nothing against Essex, but the time & travel costs could well outweigh any savings. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Have you checked with Suffolk Sailing - just outside Ipswich. Closer to Orford but no idea of prices, service etc.
