We’ve only had our yacht for a few months and so far the furthest we’ve got is the Solent/ Isle of Wight, but can see the attraction of exploring much further, would need a bigger boat though!
Has anyone on here spent much longer on a trip than they originally intended, maybe due to weather conditions changing, or because they decided to extend the trip as they were enjoying it so much?

We planned to be away for two years and got back six and a half years later, 16 years is awesome.

We wintered with them at Aguadulce in 98/99.

Lovely couple.

I reckoned that out of all the cruisers who said "they were going circumnavigate" Jane and Clive would.

Congratulations to them both.

Don't know why they came back - don't think Jane was too keen .

They had it all pretty worked out when we chatted about circumnavigating in Aguadulce. They knew what they wanted to do by that stage.

They certainly made the most of it during their travels.
