I take it all back about Countryfile. They obviously had a lot of their filming in the bag before the misty week.
I thought it was rather a good snapshot of the area. The bit about the Chilterns was also rather good and strangely we had some guests here who lived but a mile from where they featured.
Unfortunately Slippy evaded stardom. After the Steamboat Museum bit Ben Fogle was filmed on the jetty with two yachts (Northstar and Maybe Baby) in the background. Slippy was almost in the frame but missed out. In fact throughout the programme they kept missing out on the little sod.
Made the area rather appealing I thought and even the issues they raised were pretty well balanced.
