House sold, boat ready to live-aboard. Sorted out mail, email, internet, beer etc. but cant seem to find any information on Council Tax.

Does anyone know if Council Tax is payable for a live-aboard in a marina?

Yeeeeees, but how are they going to know that you live there on a permanent basis? You don't, of course, because you move around from place to place, don't you :-)

I will, of course have a land based address at my parents, sisters, friends etc. I have been informed that their Council Tax will not be increased because there are already two people paying at the address.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere a long time ago that you could "leave" the country by sailing past some 12 mile (?) limit and then come back again. Don’t know how true this is because as I said it was a long time ago. Maybe I dreamt it.

On the Grand union canal Uxbridge area , they pay council tax on live aboards but get housing benefit as well.
Most others around the country dont !!! hey why pay .
Any way you should be able to get info from British Waterways .
Cheers
