could this happen on the Thames?

Used to be a yearly event on the Oxford Canal, seen many do it just with fenders jamming them into narrow locks.
Its a bit harder on Thames locks as they are much wider but plenty of boats hang themselves up!

I see they put a one pump in the back to try and stop it going under too quick but obviously not enough, a narrowboat was similarily refloated near my mooring a few years ago and the fire brigade used 5 x huge free standing pumps plus two fire tenders to beat the water coming in and that only just managed it.
