Could it just be that somehow the forecast for my sail from Portsmouth to Torquay tonight/tomorrow is looking good.

I guess that me not taking about it for the last few weeks has scuppered the gods ambition to always work against me.

You've blown it now, it only takes a few hours for the gods to swap a nice northerly for a full bloodied SW gale - and there was me hoping to have a nice blast down to Fowey.

Well, when the wind got up to 27kts and wind over tide, we reckoned that going home (for the first time since owning the boat) was an option. SWMBO has got so used to bikini sailing in 5kts of breeze, that this stiff has made her grumpy.
