Could anybody Crouch/Blackwater lend us an outboard first week in September?

We're planning a weeks cruising on the Blackwater with the kids and not sure our electric will be up to the job for the amount of tender rides we are expecting to do without electrical hook up.

Just wondered if anybody would be prepared to lend us one for the week? Payment in the form of liquid of your choice.

Cheers

Karen

I can lend you a small Honda or Mariner [ 2 hp approx]Collect from Traigh or Priors. Any good?

Picking up a Seagull 40 featherweight with the later Bing carb (25:1 mix) tomorrow. Its missing a spark plug so the fella doesn't know if it works or not but if its a runner you'd be welcome to borrow it if nothing better is offered and i should be down to the boat next weekend too

However I shan't be offended if something a little more modern takes your fancy :-)

You can borrow the Johnson 3.5 that is on my boat in Bradwell. I shan't be over but I can tell the marina that you are not collecting for a boat jumble! PM me for details.

Ah, berth F24 is shown on my profile so no secrets there then :)

That would be wonderful, are you around next weekend? Collect wherever is easiest for you. We're planning on picking up a mooring for the fireworks.... Worked really well last year. Thanks

If it's ok we might have a try with yours too if we're in Bradwell with the dinghy inflated..... Help us decide what to buy next year:-), thanks!

That's fine. It's got a neutral/forward lever which is much better than the start and go variety. If you tilt the outboard when you park then switch off the fuel or it drips. I ran it until the fuel in the carb was used so it'll take a few pulls to get the fuel back in. I'll tell the marina not to arrest you! Have a good week. Will watch out for you if I get over there.
