Costa Del Irlande

Feel better for seeing those. Would love to get there next year if we have the time to spare.

And all that free Guiness that needs drinking.......................

Hi Jim. Thanks. The Ireland content on your web site seems spot on. I like your site, great info. The main thing is the end of drift netting back in 06. Lawrance Cove is worth a mention as it's the main bolt hole marina between Kinsale and Dingle. My favourite part of the coast is definitely the SW. Tidal streams weak except on the east coast and close to the major atlantic ria head lands, and NE coast. I find the east coast quite boring and flat, hence the pre-dominance of day boating and racing rather than cruising. The Cork and Kerry coasts are spectacular cruising areas and quite.

Great to hear that the dirft netting has actually stopped. There was some doubt at the time. Many years earlier one of the little 'guard boats' turned up with a shot gun to ask why I was tangled in his gear, so I did get the feeling that things may have been just a little outside the law!
