Costa Concordia live feed (Monday 16 Sept)

The feed is still live at 2345, although even with floodlights it is a bit harder to see what is going on. I have to confess that I have been visiting the site at intervals all day - not so much watching paint dry as watching the hour hand of a clock; you can't see it moving but next time you check it is in a different place.

I have been entertained by the various people (in hard hats and life-jackets, naturally) puttering about in ribs and other small craft who don't actually seem to be doing anything.

That will be management...

Good to see engineering get so much coverage on the news.

It reminds me of when they raised the Mary Rose. That took forever too. It's an incredible feat they have managed (though it's not over yet of course) and I would guess that a lot of useful lessons have been learned that will be helpful on all sorts of projects in the future?
