Cost top moor a 50ft Mobo in Peurto Banus?

That price is way over the top, perhaps 10 years ago it would have been.

WE pay circa €24k for a 30m mooring in Sotogrande. I think you could probably get an eighteen metre mooring for say €15k or less in Banus.

If you are interested PM me and I will call some friends here.

Thanks Lozzer,

Now a redundant question as I have a bit more detail. Further, what's the place like? I've never been but Ive always been a bit sceptical. Faded Grandeur springs to mind

Wouldn't be for me (and i'm mid 20's who loves to party)

Ideal if you want wh0res, sleazy nightclubs and 'brits abroad' a stones throw away from your boat

Oddly I was reading the advert just before I saw your post. I thought it seemed a good deal if the €40K/8 is for all running costs. Can't be just the mooring, surely?
What put you off?

Nothing has put me off (apart from maybe the local), and I have had a good detailed reply from the member organising the sale which has addressed the question concerning the fee. Still very much interested.

Just awaiting a reply from a list of about 12 or so questions. depending on those answers it will show how good an option it is. Big question is what year is the boat. 2007 its a bargain, 2001 less so...

But that's exactly what we would be! :encouragement:

Seriously, I think you're being a bit hard on PB. There are two sides to the harbour and one is far more expensive than the other, I wonder why...

Never boated to and from there but I have visited several times on golf trips. Nice friendly people and restaurants. I never saw any of the sleaze mentioned above. :ambivalence:

Been there twice - once by car - once by boat.
Not really a place for me - far too busy.
I prefer the more quiet Spanish towns - but I suppose you wouldn't have to go far from Banus to find them.
Others will probably disagree but I've always considered Banus to be "the poor mans Monaco".
But that will probably upset the people who like Monaco!!

The big one for me would be "where do you go cruising".
I think you could get bored with the local area.
IMO there are marinas with better choices for cruising.
And the kind of money you would be paying in Banus, you are nearly at Mallorca rates.

I like PB.
The different clientele give the place a special vibe.

I like it.
But it is expensive.
So for us it is not a 365 day / a year marina.

But do not miss it when you pass it due to this (IMHO) sad tread.

If the op buys into the share(1/8th)then he'll have little choice unless the other owners(7/8th)agree to a move.

It's 15 years since I visited PB(by car)and I quite liked it back then.
