Cost of a Stackpack.

After I got a new heavier mainsail I needed a bigger stackpack. Just over 5 metres. Made one from cheap Ebay fabric for the first year - cost way under £100 and the next winter tweaked the design and made a better one from quality fabric. Total cost approached £200 including two zips, velcro, strapas and rings for lazyjacks. This was re-using the two original 5M GRP rods that stiffened the sides.

We are pretty handy with a sewing machine, having made a variety of clothing, covers, tents, sleeping bags, etc over the years. We bought a Kemp stackpack a few years ago and I can say with some confidence that there is no way we could have made one of anything like the quality of the Kemp kit. Money very well spent.
