Hi all. I'm based in Poole but I fancied launching my Jaguar 23 down in Plymouth and sailing there for 3-4 days, maybe recovering her in Teignmouth and then towing back up. However, I just spoke to Queen Anne Battery and they want £17.60 each way for the slipway and well over £20 a day for parking.
Any suggestions where I could launch and park around that area for a few days at reasonable cost. Just want a change of scenery.
Thanks
Andy.

Hi , You can launch for free at the slipway at the end of Richman walk adjacent to Mayflower Marina . Car parking is free too.

not bad . Nice and wide ,council maintained so regularly "bleached " Decent chandlery, bar and bistro and decent toilets available in the marina .

Do they charge at the one next to the mount batten water sports centre? Might be preferable for parking..... Ie not as likely to get broken into....

Dunno about charging Doug but I don't think you are permitted to leave you car there . however if the OP is interested I will find out .

How about the slipway in Saltash, just next to the bridges over the Tamar. I don't think any one charges, and there are plenty of free parking places around there. Also, you don't have to drive through Plymouth to get there.....

Launching is free. Can always park across the road in free car park, but not sure I'd want to leave a car and trailer there overnight.
