Half term this week, so I'm taking some time off.
The forecast looked promising yesterday, so we re-arranged a couple of things and went boating instead. No 1 Daughter deigned to accompany us, and bought her boyfriend along as well; he's never been out in a mobo although he's been on a raggie once or twice.
For those that weren't there, conditions in the Solent were ideal yesterday - not much wind (though enough for some yots to be out), bright sunshine and very calm, so we were able to push firmly on the loud pedal.
The boyfriend was looking a bit apprehensive on the way down the river, so once we'd got out in the Solent and onto the plane, I looked round to check that he was OK, to find a wide grin on his features that was still there when we got back home.

days like yesterday are rare and to go blasting about is part of sport boat ownership etiquette
