Some weeks ago a member of said family contacted our sailing club (Harlow Blackwater) at Lawling creek Maylandsea via the club website asking for any info on "Corrie" when she was based here quite a few years ago. Well there seems to be a problem with the site/webmaster and although I posted on the club's forum I didnt get any contact details.
Anyway I just about remember "Corrie" and "Robbie", the mad old b*gg*r who used to sail her, plus "young Robbie", and my late father know them well. My mum is hale and hearty well in her eighties and I am sure she would have a few stories to tell about boat and skipper. So if anyone can supply contact details PM me and I will put you in toich with my mum.

Yes, that's her, and she was also red back in the sixties.

Corrie was owned five years ago by John Robertson, Shipwright at Gosport Boat Yard, who has since died. I saw her last year in East Cowes. If you contact GBY (023 9258 6216) you may get more up to date information.

John told me many tales five years ago when he was repairing my boat and he lifted the boat out in the yard and he and his wife repainted her.

I have grown up over the last 28 years seeing Corrie in and around Gosport Boat yard and C&N marina. She is quite simply stunning!

Fascinating stuff. She visited the Beaulieu River earlier this year and we passed her going downriver. I don't often feel moved to comment on other people's yachts, but on this occasion I was compelled to indicate to her skipper that I thought she looked fab.

Interesting to hear a bit more about her.

I know Corrie and Sarah Robertson well. Sarah and I are both members of Hill Head Sailing Club. She is still sailing Corrie and is very keen to keep the boat sailing and to keep her in the Robertson family. If you PM your Mum's details I will pass them on to Sarah.
