I was at your place this afternoon, and spoke to your neighbour, who had not seen you lately. There were several people on the beach and SWMBO went for swim. It was an hour or two after high tide and your boat seemed well afloat

Brave lady! The water's full of jellyfish. But it was a very pleasantly warm day.

Yes, I come and go, like the scarlet pimpernel. I'm glad the boat was actually floating - I always assume someone would let me know if it wasn't, but that's the risk of an exposed mooring. We usually get a few flooding down and sinking each year!

As long as it's not the one just outside my boat - I picked it up the other week while my mooring was dry, and discovered the chain was so corroded that it was about as thick as fusewire!
