Is there any problem with me initially using general purposse 2~200/300 grit paper on GRP to break the back of some significant GRP repair work?

I have a B&Q combination sander that should be fine for the job, but I don't think B&Q sell wet&Dry felt back Pads to fit on it.

I plan to drop to elbow grease 400, 600, 1200 sheets and finishing paste to complete the job.

A penny for your thoughts oh wise forumites...

Cheers Talbot, Didn't want to commit a crime to GRP!

Replacing the windows requires some cleaning/leveling & repair to the surface so the Perspex sheets bolt snug to the neoprene tape and hull...

Actually gald I'm not in the yard today... a bit too cold for outdoor work!
