Bit nippy out. I've just walked from the train station to to the marina, then sat in the cold fabricating a longer shore power cable, then attached that, got heat going, then back in the cold to attach the gas bottle in the cockpit. I'm not leaving the boat again until morning. Late morning. No need for this sort of cold nonsense.

It was a bit nippy as we jet washed the decks down ready for our return to swinging next weekend. Got to check the mooring chain tomorrow - another warm job!

Been taking advantage of the first day in a while without rain (but still fairly chilly) to fit the new sprayhood. Gave up when the instructions demanded a drill size I don't have on board (only have whole mm, they called for 3.5) and annoyed that it doesn't seem to match the shape of the deck as well as the perished old one. Sodded off to a beer festival instead, where I have put myself outside a great deal of beer and cider (and am typing very slowly and carefully :D ). Will go back for take two tomorrow, armed with a selection of non-integer drills from the workshop.

I did rig the blocks for the new mainsheet with some success, but using the frayed old peak halyard from Kindred Spirit. Time to get hold of Barry Boatropes for a new sheet.

Pete
