The water tank inside our steel yacht is placed against the port hull, it is not clear as to whether the inside of the tank is actually the hull or whether the hull and tank wall are separate. Is it likely that they are separate or is it likely that the designer built the water tank using the hull as one wall of the tank?
The inside of the tank appears to be very corroded in light of the previous question this could have considerable significance. Are there methods for removing the corrosion inside the tank?

hm, as a 1st class bodger - even i wouldn't do that. It just has to be an independent tank, unless a homebuild built by a loony.

choices are

1) prat about flsuhing and hoping

2) getting help with making and opening and cleaning.plugging and making an inspection plate to re-seal

3) still with help getting an opening made, get a flexible liner, which mite be okay but not as good as ..

3) a new tank, which could be lots of work mainly in getting thhe old one out, but at least you will know whhat's what and how things look behind it, but if made of stainless or plastic won't rust.
