Just in case anyone has been following the voyage of the replica Cornish fisher (approx. 40', double ender) "Spirit of Mystery", she has just berthed in Launceston (Tasmania that is).

Just spoken to the skipper and crew, I don't know that much more, she had 120 days at sea during her voyage.
The only electronics visible are a mast top light and a small VHF ariel, other wise she looks original.

Mighty job, I must say!

You can't help but admire the classic boat, equipped with a big old tiller, tan sails the lot...

The skipper has an open boat policy, welcoming all on board, nice guy.

She will sail south to hobart, then up to the Whitsunday Islands in the tropical north. Not too many want to stay down here with winter approaching.

one of the prettiest classic boat i had ever seen its a good news to hear from you it has arrived safely a classic boat like that should be well treated i mean taken care
