cork deaking

Not sure if it is the same thing but had Moody cork decking round the cockpit area when we bought the boat 12 years ago and is still going strong. Sanded back 3 years ago as had various marks and stains and looked as good as new. Sun tan oils ( I wish ) stain particularly badly. Don't underestimate the sanding, it took 6 hours to refinish the cockpit benches, bridge deck and stern seat!

Yes, did our cockpit seats with it years ago. Probably about 2001. This is it not long after we finished it.

It's virtually the same now. A little darker and the non-slip sand needs re-doing. Very hard wearing and a total success.

thanks for the photo it does look good. I am thinking of putting it on the side and fore decks as well as the cockpit as it is a good sound insulation. what was the thickness of your cork deaking?
