Corfu - Stainless supplier etc

Need a contact in Corfu to make me an arch over back of cockpit , also a good upholsterer.

You need to track down a guy called Gordy, his number is: 6945 472 768, although he's a Kiwi, he's an excellent Stainless Steel Fabricator/Welder!!!
Usually found playing darts in Stav's bar in Kontokali.
Please ensure he knows that this particular Welshman recomended him!!

As for the Fabric, I'm sorry but no idea.

There is also a Geordie (can't remember his name) who did some good SS work on my boat. I had my Bavaria saloon cushions recovered by Skiasi in a Sunbrella material. Plain looking but very durable. Just outside the back gate to the marina and turn right.

I'll second Gordy's work but when he did my aft stanchions and radar arch mods he forgot to polish a few bits and really battled to work with his gas against a small breeze in the Marina. He didn't have access to his own fabrication equipment either.

I found a Greek machine shop that has pipe bending machinery, some inox and a lot of expertise. Can't remember the name but if you drive into Corfu town, sticking to the waterfront road,left at the traffic lights at the supermarket,then just after the restaurants on the right and about 400m before the port entrance on the left there is a row of shops on the right set back from the road on a little access road. There's a video hire place a couple of doors down from him.

He is vary wary of yotties, apparently from some bad experiences but if you go about it the right way he will deliver very good quality work. He actually manufactured 2 transom stanchions for me with bases and curved and flattened braces.
