Anyone travelling from Corfu to Levkas next week (16/17th) wanting to share taxi?

I'm arriving into Corfu on 14th but I think staying there a week to 10 days before moving on to Lefkas. Have you seen the skyexpress flights Corfu-Preveza for 55 euros (http://www.skyexpress.gr/en-us/home.aspx) only 25 minutes?

Thanks for that: we're aware of SkyExpress and would use them if we were travelling light, but their luggage restrictions are the problem for us. Are you berthing in Levkas marina!

I'm not berthing anywhere until I find a boat...
Seriously I have no idea what's going to happen, hoping to find a cheap boat I'm happy with, sail around a bit, get to know a few places, find somewhere to leave it. Theoretically I have to be back in UK within 6 months to return to work...

You could pick up a one way car from Europcar in Igoumenitsa ( 50 m from the port) and leave with Camilla in their Nidri office, nice drive down and do the shopping in Lefkas town on the way.

Thanks Chris; we could do a Europcar as you say- and we could even drop it off in Levkas, which is more convenient since we are moored there. At €110 - for a 1.6 - its also €15 cheaper than the taxi price we were offered (€125 for a new Mercedes taxi waiting at the ferry port.) So it's a close call, but on balance I would rather let someone else do the driving.

In previous threads I vaguely remember the well thought of Camilla arranging better deals on one way car hire. Have you been able to contact her or is this the price off the Europcar website? I have tried with ' camillalefkas@yahoo.gr ' but no response.
Any ideas?

ITH: I'll be travelling to Igoumenitsa from Levkas by hire car on the 17th to pick up the missus. She's expecting to get the 1400 ferry from Corfu, arriving Ig 1530, then back to Levkas. Be happy to give you a lift if this fits your timings.

Oh b****r; spend ages waiting for a bus then two come along at once! Alas I just booked an Igoumenitsa taxi - in the belief that nobody else would be around now: silly me! Thanks for your kind offer Mac, and the beers are on me if we meet at Levkas. We're the Nauticat 35 (Carpe Diem) on pontoon F.

Hate to break this to you, Ian, but you're boat's not on F. However, she's sitting pretty on E and even had someone aboard giving her tlc in the sunshine this pm.

Thanks Mac : hope this reaches you before you set off for Igoumenitsa - there's a 24hr ferry strike and nothing is moving out of Corfu this morning - So I guess your lady will be stuck here as well.
