Hello

I am considering getting the boat "copper coated" during the summer of 2019 and would like to hear what people's views on the coating and if anybody can point me at a yard in Plymouth that will do the complete job, from blasting the current antifoul off, preparing the hull and applying the stuff.

Thanks

Can recommend it - so far (2 1/2 years) except adhesion to iron keel needs really good prep. Coppercoat will provide a list of yards who have experience of application then you can assess them locally and get feedback.

Not quite Plymouth, but I had my last boat done at Baltic Wharf in Totnes. Was very pleased with the end result (usual disclaimer about no connection other than as a satisfied customer).

Again, not Plymouth, but not too far away; Mylor Yacht Harbour do a fair amount of Coppercoating and I’ve heard positive reports. I’m in the early stages of thinking about doing the same so please report back on any findings!

Thanks all.

I've asked on here, in a few FaceBook pages and among friends - Looks like I'll need to visit a few yards and discuss the job - several people recommending places and several damming the same place!
