Coppercoat again.

Just come back from the boat show and found lots more small stalls than usual, no doubt due to the absence of any actual sailing boats.

One of the most impressive sales pitches was from coppercoat - which now seems to be quite a reasonable price. Around 400 pounds for my 24 footer.

I have tried searching for posts on coppercoat and cant quite seem to get enough views to see whether it is worth doing.

Basicially it seems to me that normal antifouling is so rubbish now, coppercoat wouldn't have to be that good to make it worth doing.

Be grateful for views from people who have applied.

If, as you say, you have searched the archives, you will have seen that opinions are divided. Some have had great success with Coppercoat, others have not. Asking again is likely to produce exactly the same results, about 50/50 but of course many who have used it successfully will not post, whereas most of those who have had failures will report them.

Personally, I have applied Coppercoat twice, with great success. The first gave excellent protection for 10 years, the second has been on for two, still counting.
