I used to, and it used to keep it clean, i now use ordinary AF on my boat and i still paint the prop,others will tell you to shine it up, i think its a matter of taste.
Spoke with copercoat ltd, they do not recommend it for the prop but also said people do do it and it "can" work.
Also have found a company who can copper plate the prop with 99% pure copper 25 microns thick.
Is it worth a go?
25 microns sounds very thin - I would expect it to wear through inside a year, in parts at least. I've not seen any data on erosion rate of pure copper, only of hardened copper alloys, but it's relatively fast and probably more than 20 microns in first year. Erosion around blade tips will be much higher due to turbulence.
