Anyone know what mesh power is used in Coppercoat?
I have some resin but no powder to make up the antifouling mix and see people like East Coast Fibreglass offer copper powder. I suppose the sensible thing would be to buy from Aquarius but I am making an order with ECF and can add to it.

when you say resin i presume you mean coppercoat resin not ordinary resin?
If so call AMC I'm sure they'll sell you some.
They have it made specially and specify size, shape and purity IIRC.

You do not ay what you are trying to achieve.

Two manufacturers, I think, would be Eckart and Schlenke, both German (I think those are the spellings). Search for their UK distributors or agents. Both companies specialise in flake, bronze, but from memory both offer copper. Powders, or flake, comes in sizes from 5 micron and up to about 70 micron - it depends on the application. Some powders are coated to reduce tarnishing (in resin and other systems).

Eckart is part of a largish group offering a whole range of products for surface coatings. I think Schlenke are still a family business, but that may well have changed.

If you already have a CC resin then sourcing from AMC seems sensible as the resin will then be compatible with the powder. If you have 'any old (or new) resin' I'd contact one of the distributors of the companies listed and they will, possibly, be able to offer a specific powder best suited to your ambitions.
