Anyone know the correct way of leading the above through ply bulkheads.
I was hoping to use some clever fittings from ASAP, but they only fit bulkheads up to 10mm. Mine are 20mm.

Do you need to maintain the watertight integrity of the bulkhead or are you just concerned about protecting the pipe .

If only the latter then sleeve it with some plastic tube.

If the former

How about an oversize hole through the bulkhead with a metal (or thinner wooden) plate screwed and sealed over that carrying the normal bulkhead fitting.

BTW if you do use bulkhead fittings it is possible to drill through them to remove the "land" in the middle so that the pipe can pass right though without actually having any joints.

Thanks for the reply.
I am only really concerned with protecting the pipe so I suppose a bit of conduit will suffice. The bulkheads are full of holes for other things so a few more shouldn't harm.

I take a short length of tubing or fuel pie, whichever is to hand, and cable tie it over the pipe as it passes through the plywood. In the cases where I hadn't realised that this was necessary before it was too late, and a hole was worn though the pipe, I cut the pipe and jubilee-clipped a short length of flexible pipe to the rigid pipe as it passed through the bulkhead. The flexible pipe is protected as above. Flexible pipe is both less likely to wear a hole in, and less susceptible to vibration damage.
