Hi,
I have two refrigeration units using the Coolmatic TEC system. They are probably around 10 years old. Both worked fine until recently when one of them stopped working. The problem I have is that the manual is useless for trouble shooting and the three lights on the TEC panel alternate depending up on its mood!
Firstly the unit stays GREEN, which means the plate should be getting cold. Alas, this does not seem to be happening. Then it goes ORANGE and sometimes flashes ORANGE, which has something to do with external power....but what I'm supposed to do to attend to this warning, I've no idea. When it's feeling awkward it shows ORANGE and GREEN together. Then last month it showed RED, indicating something to do with the cooling fluid, but it's only done this once. Basically there is no consistence to these lights so trying to work out what the problem is is proving difficult.
Does anyone have similar experiences to this and do you have some basic pointers for me to get started on? Any help would be useful as we're suffering a heat wave here and I need cold beer after a hard day's sail!
