Cool or Warm?

I wish to change the masthead, anchor light bulb for an LED type. Which is the more effective, cool white or warm white. Does a rating of 4.3 watts seem bright enough for the job.

Been considering the same issue for my tri-colour for some time, boat length is a factor and cool white seems to be recommendation for anchor and (in my case around 9m) warm white for tri. Found this site useful:

I purchased LED lights from boatlamps to convert my navigation lights. I followed the recommendations and they all look correct and seem brighter.
