I need to change my cooker!

The present one is a SMEV 0333FGT which was on the boat when I bought it in 2005. I liveaboard and it’s been in constant use the whole time without any problems but it is now coming to the end of it’s working life (for various reasons). I would like to stay with the same configuration, ie 2 burner, oven and grill.

I don’t want to have to rip out the whole galley area, as marine ply, hardwood, laminates etc are hard to source in Labuan and all involve shipping costs etc., so ideally I would like a cooker with similar, if not identical measurements. I found one (same cooker) in the US, but the seller does not respond to e-mails.

The Dometic Starlight is too narrow, others of the range are either the wrong width, height or depth.

The Force 10 2 burner Euro Standard is just about the right size but comments I have read indicate owners are not happy with the manufacturer.

What does the panel recommend? Any experiences, comments about the cooker on your boat?

It’d help if you gave us the measurements for the space the cooker needs to fit.
I’ve got an Eno cooker fitted, it’s 10 years old and going fine. The catch for the oven door failed but I’ve fitted an external catch to replace it.
I bought a new ENO 2 burner oven and grill last year. It cooks well but I have had several issues with it, that required me to contact the reseller. ENO in France told me to contact the uk reseller for any warranty type problems. I have had to seek legal action to progress the faults. I believe the reseller is quite happy to sell but wants nothing to do with you if you have any problems. I would not recommend ENO cookers for a boat anyway due to the feedback I received from the reseller regarding my own apparent mis-use of the oven - which I disputed.

I appreciate that, but basically I was looking for opinions on the various cookers available - and none seem to be reliable!
The space required to fit the SMEV 0333FGT, which I have, is H505 x W486 x D500 (with gimbals), so those are the dimensions I am working on.
