Does anybody know how these 12v spotlights dismantle so I can convert them to LED? There is nothing obvious to unscrew, so I presume I have to use force to unclip them somewhere? Presumably they use those standard 12v floodlight bulbs?

I have two lamps of a similar design. On mine, using a penknife I can gently prise out the lens from the housing. So far I have been unsuccessful in finding replacement LED's for them. The existing bulbs are of the baseless type (with the filament wires bent up the sides of the glass) and they are power hungry halogen!

The ones shown are ordinary white designed for car sidelights. I find this type a bit 'cold' for interior lighting - 'warm' white is better (but harder to source).
These might do http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-OSRAM-W5W-5w-501-Style-Capless-LED-Bulbs-WARM-WHITE-4000K-Colour-/271122023882
