It it possible to run a marine engine on methane gas? If so, could this be the solution for the perpetual motion problem?

Proper English please

"Methanising" - an example of the deplorable US tendency to verbify nouns.

Re: Proper English please

Who said that? Not me,although I wish I had with the word methanising being a superbe example of interesting word play with both mechanising and marinising connotations.

No. You can't store methane in sufficient quantity on board to make it worthwhile. Not even on a diet of Fray Bentos, baked beans and hard boiled eggs

Bung a few onion Bhajis in complete with cucumber raita and I'm sure you could have a challenge ... although with that amount of wind , I doubt if you'll be needing an engine:)
