I need a new prop - 15 inch by about 9 pitch. My shaft is 25mm with a standard (1in 10?) taper. I would MUCH rather get a second hand one, but the only ones that seem to be around at the moment are for 1" shafts with a 1 in 12 taper.

Does anyone know a company either in the London or Gosport areas who could bore out the hole to match my shaft?

Thanks in advance

Any engineering company could do it for you - but you may have a problem boring out an Imperial taper to the metric one - you would have to check that out and I suspect it's not possible. Which means you'll have to press fit a sleeve into the prop and bore out to suit - which probably won't be worth it either compared to a new prop ready bored.
