Convert 5.0GL Volvo to 5.0Gi

Hi all,

Am now seriously looking at several boats.

One I have seen I quite like, but it's got the 5.0GL engine. I quite like the idea of a fuel Injected engine this time around - but there aren't many on the market, and the ones that are have other issues I am not so happy with.

So simple question - is the only difference between the 2 engines the carb to Fuel Injection, and if so, is it possible to convert or is the cost prohibitive (it's a Volvo - of course the cost is prohibitive!!)

Again. Cost IS prohibitive.

Decide what you need and go for it. Buying simething 'almost as needed' and throwing piles of ££££ after it to make it right isn't a good idea.

Total cost will go beyond any imagined limits before it works.
