Conversion Factors

There is a "metric horsepower"

1 ch = 1 PS = 735.5 watts

I have never used it

Consistency of method and place of measurement will be significant

1 metric horsepower (CV) = 75 kg * m / sec = 0.7355 kilowatts (kW)
or 1 kW = 1.3596 CV

1 british horsepower (HP) = 550 lb * ft / sec = 0.7457 kilowatts (kW)
or 1 kW = 1.3410 HP

The difference between the two horsepowers is negligeable. The rule of thumb:
“1 kW = 3/4 of 1Hp” is the best for practic use.

I never met the PK. Could it be “Pferd Kraft” in german or something the like in swedish?
Some more sure may surface about it in the thread.

Hope to be of some help.
