Sorry not this time, no 700 miles to the start line for me this time. My little Junk rig Corribee gets a tow to Plymouth.
If I make it as just had a minor health set back. Went into Hospital for a Hernia operation, last week, keyhole surgery 4 hrs and decided to have a "Minor Stroke" at the same time. Lost voice an all sorts. Voice back now and no motive problems but heads not totally right.
Major problem, taste's gone (at bloody Christmas an all)

Happy Christmas

Sorry to hear that, and hope that you make a full and quick recovery. Have been looking forward to meeting you and your boat in Plymouth and the Azores.

Well done. Have you far to go to get to Plymouth
(distance and prep.)
Malcome

I have what seems like 12 months work!

She is out of the water right now, new copper coat, and rig checks.

I have a Haslar to fit and then loads of bits and pieces.

I shall need to travel from the Hamble!

Looking forward with huge trepidation!

Tony.

Hope back on level keel very soon. Mother lost her taste and looked like she had a stroke a couple of years ago although she has tried to convince us it was Bells Palsy - she dropped from a size 18 to a 12 - and now she has taste back she eats more sensibly. Youngest son had a stroke when he was 15 months - as a strapping 18yo you would never know today.

Thanks Peter,
Every day I'm waking up feeling more normal. High pitched ringing has subsided. Went for a walk today, taste is deffinately improving. Hell of a wake up call and time to re-evaluate.
I'm thinking now of finishing my Junk rig Corribee and selling it, using the money to "Oceanize" my Long Keel Hurley 22 in time for the JC 2014.
Well thats my thoughts to-day which seem far more practical
Regards
Malcome
