Connecting new Echomap to VHF 100i

Hi All,

My GPSMAP 750S finally gave up working. I have replaced it with a new Echomap UHD 65cv.
I’ve connected it the same way to the VHF 100i but no GPS info is being displayed on the radio.
Any ideas what else needs to be done?

Sounds like mismatched baud rates. The echomap can definitely be set to output at any 0183 rate, it must be set to match the vhf.

You only need to connect two wire on the VHF100i, the RX = and -. Check that the Echomax is set to output NMEA0183 at 4800 or "Standard"

Thanks for the advice. Now working having changed to NMEA standard on the Chartplotter..
